Shirlie Montgomery, one of
photography's "pioneering women", captured on
film everything from blossoming apple orchards and
cannerys to county fairs and elegant social functions in
San Jose, California and the San Francisco bay area. But
perhaps some of the most "colorful" captives of
Miss Montgomery's black & white camera were the
wrestlers at the Civic Auditorium and the Cow Palace. Our
SLAMMERS® museum gallery proudly features Shirlie
Montgomery's vintage artistry, some of which she shares
with you here...how many of the boys do YOU recognize?
